Past Exhibitions
Our rotating exhibitions offer fresh perspectives on art and its connection to the world around us. From season-defining marquee presentations of groundbreaking artists and iconic works to reimagined presentations of the Speed’s collection, these temporary exhibitions offer a unique opportunity to engage with art in new and meaningful ways.
Online Art Resource
The Kentucky Online Arts Resource (KOAR), a project of the Speed Art Museum, offers free access to over 1,600 objects and 2,800 images of Kentucky’s historic fine arts, decorative arts, folk arts, and design. Launched in April 2006, KOAR showcases the Speed’s extensive collection of Kentucky art, the most significant of its kind in the U.S., along with exclusive visual access to private collections and works from other museums and public institutions.
KOAR’s development and operation are made possible by generous donors, and we thank them for their support. For questions or comments, contact kydatabase@speedmuseum.org.
