photo and video constent policy

The Speed Art Museum frequently documents its exhibitions, programs, and activities through photography, video, and audio recording. These materials help us share the museum’s mission and extend the impact of art beyond our walls.

By entering the Speed Art Museum or participating in any on-site or museum-sponsored event, visitors grant the Museum permission to photograph, film, or otherwise record their image, likeness, and/or voice—and that of accompanying minors—without compensation, for the Museum’s educational, archival, and promotional purposes. These materials may appear in print, digital, or broadcast formats.

Opt-Out Option

In keeping with our commitment to inclusion, belonging, and guest well-being, the Museum offers an opt-out process for visitors who prefer not to be photographed or recorded.

If you do not wish to be photographed:

Please inform a Guest Experience representative upon arrival.

Request a “NO PHOTO” sticker for yourself or your child and place it visibly on your clothing.

Our staff, volunteers, and visiting media are instructed to look for these identifiers and will make every effort to avoid capturing your likeness.

Please note that:

Large crowd shots and public event images in which individuals are not readily identifiable may still occur.

While the Museum will make reasonable efforts to honor opt-out requests, it cannot guarantee exclusion from all incidental or background photography.

Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful, inclusive environment for all visitors.
