The Art of Change would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every artist, performer, participant, volunteer, and delightful human being that made it out in the cold on Tuesday night to give DC the most original inaugural celebration it has ever seen! Were it not for the enthusiastic support of all of the DC creative communities, this event could not have happened.
I think I can speak for all of us on the planning committee when I say that the gratitude, excitement, and energy that you all brought to this very special event are humbling. Thank you for letting us entertain you all.
If you took photographs at the event, please consider joining our Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/artofchange/) and adding your photographs to its growing pool.
For those of you interested in the kind of press we got, I can point you to two fantastic articles in the DCist and the Washington Post--thanks to both of these marvellous publications for your support.
Finally--we want to hear from you! How was your evening? What went smoothly? What could we have done to make the event better? This was a unique collaboration for all of us on the planning committee and more than a few have expressed the desire to see an event like this happen again in the future. If you'd like to see it happen, too, please write on the forums or use our web contact form to tell us how we can create a bigger, badder event down the road.
On behalf of the Art of Change, we'd like to wish you all a wonderful year and the best of luck to our brand new president. President Obama, you galvanized us in ways even we don't fully understand. Thank you for inspiring the impossible.
Peace,
Drex
